Install Ledger
Add Ledger to your home screen for a faster, full-screen experience — no browser bar, opens like
any other app, works offline.
Add Ledger to your Home Screen
iOS doesn't allow apps to install themselves, but it only takes a few taps:
Tap the Share icon in Safari's toolbar
Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
Tap "Add" in the top right — that's it
Ledger
Shared ledger household
A shared ledger uses a household code instead of your
private storage. Anyone who enters the same code, on any device, sees and can edit this
exact ledger expenses, habits, and recurring items included. Don't share a code for anything you want
kept private, and pick something only your household would guess.
How to use this ledger guide
Tracking expenses
Type what you spent or received in the Description field, enter the amount, choose
whether it's a debit (money out) or credit (money in), and pick a category from
the dropdown Food, Transport, Housing, and so on. Press Add.
Every entry appears in the list with today's date and its category tag. The balance
at the bottom is calculated live: all credits added up, minus all debits. Click the
× next to any row to delete it the balance updates instantly.
Quick add
The single line above the full form lets you log an expense in one go type something like
"coffee 1500" and it works out the amount, guesses the category from the word
"coffee", and logs it as a debit. Add the word "credit" anywhere in the line for
money coming in, or type a category name yourself to override the guess, like "taxi 4200
transport".
Repeating expenses
Tick "Repeat this every month" before adding an expense like rent or a
subscription and it's logged automatically on the same day every month from then on, without you
retyping it. Each generated entry carries a small "monthly" tag so you can always see which lines
are automatic.
Monthly totals
Below the ledger, the Monthly totals panel shows what you spent, what you received,
and the net for whichever month you pick from the dropdown. It defaults to the current month and
includes every past month you've logged entries in.
The bars underneath break down your spending by category for that month, longest bar first, so you
can see at a glance where the money actually went.
Building habits
Type a habit name (for example, "Drink water" or "Read 20 minutes") and press Add.
Each habit gets its own row showing the last 7 days as small tally marks, oldest on the left, today
on the right.
Click a day's mark to toggle it a solid mark means done, a faded mark means not done. You can tap
any day in the row, not just today, so you can catch up on a day you forgot to log.
The streak counts backward from today: it stops counting the moment it hits a day
you didn't complete. Marking today keeps the streak alive; skipping a day resets it.
Year view
Click "year view" next to any habit to expand a full year of squares, one per day,
in the style of a contribution graph filled means done, faded means not. It's the fastest way to
spot a long streak or a stretch you fell off. Click any square in it to toggle that day, same as the
7-day row above it.
Choosing a currency
Use the dropdown in the top right to pick from 30 major world currencies. Each one is formatted the
way it's actually written in real life the right symbol, and the right number of decimal places
(Japanese yen and Korean won show whole numbers, most others show two decimal places).
Switching currency changes how the ledger displays going forward. It does not
convert amounts you already entered, since doing that accurately would require a live,
constantly-updating exchange rate this app doesn't have. If you're tracking money in more than one
currency, it's best to keep a separate ledger for each.
Sharing a ledger with your household
Click "Personal" in the top left to open sharing options. Enter a household code —
something like a family name only your household would think of and press "Join / create
shared ledger". Anyone who enters that exact code, on any device, sees and edits the
same expenses, habits, and recurring items as you.
Your original personal ledger isn't affected — it's kept completely separate, and you can switch back
to it any time with "Back to personal ledger." Because a shared ledger is only
protected by its code, don't use one for anything you wouldn't want a stranger to see if they
guessed it.
Data
Everything you enter is saved automatically the moment you add or change something there's no save
button to remember. On a personal ledger, your data is private to you; on a shared ledger, it's
visible to anyone with the code. Closing the tab or coming back later won't lose anything either
way.
Export expenses as CSV downloads your expense history as a spreadsheet file you can
open in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers. Download full backup saves everything
expenses, habits, recurring items, and your currency setting as a single file you can keep safe or
move to another device. Restore from backup loads a previously downloaded backup
file back into the app this replaces whatever is currently here, so only restore a file you trust.
Expenses debit / credit
Type an amount anywhere in the line. Add a category name
or the word "credit" to set those too otherwise it's guessed for you.

Your data export / backup
CSV export opens in Excel, Sheets, or Numbers for your own analysis. The full backup is
a JSON file with everything expenses, habits, and your currency setting so you can restore it here
later or move it to another device. Restoring replaces what's currently in the app, so only do it with a
backup you trust.
